Oakville Basement Waterproofing aims to make this website usable by people with different abilities, technologies and browsing preferences. Accessibility is an ongoing practice involving content, navigation, colour, forms, images, keyboard operation and testing. The website does not claim a formal certification.
Keyboard navigation
Interactive elements are intended to be reachable and usable with a keyboard. A skip link moves focus to the main content. Menus use buttons for submenu disclosure on smaller screens, and the Escape key can close open navigation. Visible focus should remain available so keyboard users can track their position.
Headings and navigation
Pages use one primary heading followed by descriptive section headings. Breadcrumbs show page context, repeated navigation is kept consistent, and link labels are written to make sense in context. Grouped dropdowns preserve the full service range without requiring a long single navigation row.
Text, spacing and contrast
The design uses scalable text, comfortable line height, generous spacing and strong foreground-to-background contrast. Information is not intended to depend on colour alone. Browser zoom and operating-system text settings can be used, although very large settings may reflow the layout.
Responsive layouts
Content reflows for desktop, tablet and mobile screens. Cards, photographs, tables and forms adapt to narrower viewports. Wide tables can be scrolled horizontally in their own region rather than forcing the entire page off screen.
Forms
WPForms supplies form controls, validation and submission. Fields should have visible labels, helpful descriptions and clear error messages. Site administrators must preserve those labels when editing a form, test keyboard completion and confirm that spam protection does not create an unreasonable barrier.
Images
Content photographs use alternative text that describes the visible subject when the image conveys information. Decorative images use empty alternative text. Captions add useful context without labelling photographs with internal production language.
Motion and media
The theme uses limited motion and respects the reduced-motion preference. It does not rely on autoplay video or audio. If media is added later, captions, transcripts, controls and alternatives should be reviewed before publication.
PDFs and external content
Official municipal or regional documents may be provided as PDFs or hosted on external websites. Those formats and websites are controlled by their publishers. Contact the responsible organization for an accessible version of its document, and contact us if a link on this site creates a barrier.

If the online form is difficult to use, contact us by phone or email using the details shown in the header, footer or contact page. State the information you need and the communication method that works for you. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
Reporting a barrier
Please report the page address, the task you were trying to complete, the browser or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it, and a description of the barrier. This information helps reproduce and correct the issue. We will review reasonable feedback and prioritize issues that block access to essential content or contact options.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is reviewed when templates, navigation, forms, colour, content or interactive features change. Automated checks can identify some issues, while keyboard and screen-size testing identify others. Feedback remains an important part of improvement.
Browser and assistive-technology support
The site is designed for current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. Older or heavily modified software may present differences. If a task cannot be completed, report the browser, device and step where the barrier occurred so a practical alternative can be offered.
Downloads and printing
Pages can be printed using browser controls, although navigation and interactive forms may not appear the same on paper. Downloaded official forms are controlled by their publishers. Ask for an alternative format or assistance when a required document is not usable.
Language and clarity
Content aims to use plain explanations, descriptive headings and direct answers before technical detail. Trade terms such as weeping tile, wall-floor joint, sump discharge and backwater valve are explained in context. Please report wording that creates an avoidable barrier.
